capicom.dll is not properly installed or registered

As I loaded up the link to use the HP Quality Center 10, an error message greeted me.

CAPICOM:DLL is not properly installed or registered.
Please install CAPICOM.DLL and restart your browser.

As with other DLLs in Windows XP, some may not have registered properly. I used the following command to re-register the DLL.

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\capicom.dll

By the way, do make sure that capicom.dll is available in that folder. If you don’t have that, you can download from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=25281 and install.

After registering the DLL, I could access the site with no problem.
