My Samsung Galaxy Note screen cracked
Barely 2 weeks old and it’s now in the “clinic”. My Samsung Galaxy Note‘s screen cracked after accidental drop from waist height. Now it’s in Samsung Service Center Petaling Jaya for repair. Total repair price quoted was MYR714.00, MYR664.00 for the screen and MYR50.00 for service charge. $$$ fly away d.
2 Nov 2011 – Seems to be taking ages – A call to the Samsung contact center today tells me to call back on Monday or Tuesday to get latest update. Asked me to wait for SMS.
5 Nov 2011 – Called Samsung Contact center and YES, they say it is ready for collection. YES!

I just got mine barely 3 days. Dropped it on the pavement. At first I thought I only scratched the sides. Then I flipped open the cover only to discover that the screen was cracked like mad. I cried, I did. I bought this phone just cause I accidentally dropped my BB Torch in the toilet, which I couldn’t get, because the hole was damn deep.
RM 700? Dammit. =[
I’m wondering if it’s possible to change the side part as well since it’s badly scratched/dent. Wonder how much that would cost. Gosh I hate myself right now.
However, I’m a little relieved to know I’m not the only one to have experienced this. So, the Galaxy Note despite it being awesome is extremely fragile. They should have pointed that out for clumsy people. Sigh…

Hi Sue. I feel your pain. The Galaxy Note is an awesome gadget. The fragility is an minor setback. I hope there will be some protection kits for this device soon. Who knows, Samsung themselves would provide one. *grin*
Don’t hate yourself but look forward to being able to use it when it’s fixed. It has great camera and great sensitive screen for great artist work like you. Cheer up. -

Sigh, i had my galaxy note for a week and it was in my pocket and next thing i noticed, there was a horizontal crack across the screen of the phone =(. While not as bad as your pictures, i’m still sad =(
Did you just call samsung service centre toll free number and get a quote? Might look into fixing it.

My Note also dropped from knee level. The screen cracked into couple of hairline cracks. Quite serious. I went to Midvalley at 3rd floor where there is a phone shop that repairs all sorts of handset. (it is in Samsung website)
Was quoted rm750. Wanted to change to white colour but was informed no availablity stock at Samsung. So opt for original black. Only required 2 days to do cause one day to get parts, the other day to repair.

I got really pissed off with Dynacomm at Midvalley. Was given promises after promises by the guy named Simon. Told can collect then later said cannot. Then said afternoon. Then later said cannot and finally he SMS to me to said come after 5pm which was yesterday.
Reached there at 5.10pm, was told the parts has yet not arrived. I said wtf…….the phone been sleeping for 2 days already and this is 3rd day and u still got no parts. Again this Simon guy told me wait for a while. Despatch on his way. Waited until 6pm then I decided to take back my phone. What a waste of time!!!!
I advise all ppl to be careful of this outlet which supposed to Samsung authorized collection centre. Promise u the moon but all empty talks.
I hope Samsung management are seeing this comment. What lousy customer service!!!!!
